The Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra

I have always wanted to go watch a performance by the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra but I never got around to it, until two days ago. I went for Beethovan's Fifth Symphony conducted by Roberto Abbado, courtesy of Melissa as a belated birthday treat for me.

It was an excellent experience. It has been awhile since I've attended a performance by an orchestra and it has been years since I've participated in one, playing the cello. But those were amateur groups. This one were all professionals.

I really enjoyed listening to a familiar piece of music live, watching the conductor and the musicians playing their instruments with much heart and emotions.

It was spectacular.
